When LKQ Belgium makes a powerful impact at the Autotechnica trade show in Brussels.

A 100% modular and reusable custom stand—is it possible? Absolutely! We recently designed one covering nearly 900m². Here’s a look at an impressive design-focused stand...

LKQ, a specialist in automotive aftermarket services, positions itself as a true partner for mechanics. The company offers a wide range of parts and tools, as well as numerous services, including a training program, optimized logistics, and targeted marketing solutions. This offering is designed for its network of franchised and independent mechanics.

A stand layout designed to meet marketing objectives

For LKQ, being present at a trade show is a unique opportunity to strengthen relationships with its network of mechanics and attract new clients. But that’s not all! It’s also the perfect occasion to highlight the support and assistance offered for its products and services and to present the full range of training programs available at the LKQ Academy. The stand layout was therefore designed to facilitate these exchanges.

Capturing visitors' attention, facilitating connections, and leaving a lasting impression

The space, easily recognizable from afar, is structured around a giant Rubik’s Cube.

The stand layout was designed to encourage interactions, with a large open space ideal for informal discussions, whether standing or seated. At the center, a large bar invites conviviality and sharing. Private meeting rooms are also available for more focused discussions.

To showcase products and training programs interactively, the exhibition stand backdrop was designed to resemble a large open garage, fostering a dynamic environment that promotes spontaneous exchanges. Two closed-off areas provide calm and focus for more detailed presentations.

When a giant Rubik’s Cube steals the show at AutoTechnica...

To stand out and capture visitors' attention, the eye-catcher strategy remains a must-have to maximize visual impact and act as a true magnet.

The AutoTechnica professional trade show provided the perfect setting to design a 6-meter-high Rubik’s Cube, directly inspired by LKQ's communication strategy around its six key product and service pillars.

You have a clear, transparent, and honest approach. There’s a reason I’ve been working with you for so many years.

When the idea is there, it must then be brought to life!

The challenge in constructing this cube lay in its 2-ton weight, which made it impossible to suspend. Additionally, the misalignment caused by the cube’s facets complicated, among other things, the installation of screens.

But challenges don’t scare us! This concept, envisioned by our architects, was then entrusted to our technical design office, which developed its fabrication and installation.

A small bonus detail on the cube: the placement of a bar, right next to the Rubik’s Cube, cleverly integrating a storage area with a hidden kitchen space inside.

A 100% modular and reusable stand—more eco-friendly and efficient

The entire stand is built based on a modular design, using existing furniture. A subtle yet imperceptible touch, as each element is carefully customized to reflect LKQ's brand identity.

This approach to custom modular stands enables the creation of impactful stands, staying true to the brand’s identity while remaining 100% reusable for future events. This strategy is perfectly aligned with LKQ’s ecological values, which strongly resonate with ours.

Additionally, modular stands significantly speed up the assembly and disassembly process, compared to traditional wooden structures.

See you in Paris for a new concept!

Following the success of this exhibition, LKQ is already planning its next event: Equip Auto, on October 14, 2025, in Paris. This time, the challenge for our team of event stand builders will be to create a new concept within a much smaller space of just 100m².
